New Clean Water and Natural Lands website now live

The City and County of Honolulu Department of Housing and Land Management is excited to announce the launch of CWNL.org, a new website dedicated to the City’s Clean Water and Natural Lands program and its work to protect wai and ʻāina across Oʻahu.

The new website provides a central resource to learn about the CWNL program, explore conservation sites across the island, understand the proposal process, get involved and follow the latest conservation news and projects.

Visitors can also see the impact of the program’s work to date, including 1,459 acres conserved, seven culturally significant sites preserved and 14 managed public access points created. Approximately 80% of the total area protected through the program is agricultural land.

For landowners and organizations interested in conserving land, the website also provides a direct way to start the process. Prospective applicants can submit an inquiry, connect with program staff and receive guidance on preparing a land conservation proposal for qualification and review.
