DPP Unveils New Interactive Map for TOD Zoning and Development
HONOLULU: The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) has released a new interactive map showing TOD zoning and the TOD Special District boundaries along the Skyline rail transit corridor. This map, created by the Honolulu Land Information System section of the DPP, helps break down complex TOD zone changes and provides important information to the public, including property owners and developers.
Map users can toggle between existing zoning on the left and the proposed, or adopted, TOD zoning on the right by TOD neighborhood and Skyline station area. Parcels can be searched by address or Tax Map Key, or simply by zooming in. Click on the parcels to obtain TOD zoning details.
Adopted TOD Plan boundaries are also shown for designated TOD neighborhoods where the TOD Special District and zoning are not yet established. These areas are eligible for interim TOD permits that allow certain projects to utilize the TOD Plan land use recommendations that include additional height and density.
Click on the menu list of stations to examine individual station area development visions and supporting zone changes. References to the TOD Plan land use recommendations are provided for the station areas with forthcoming TOD zoning.
